Elder Hill

Elder Hill
At the Cafe

11/2/09

Elder Hill has been in Lima Peru since Sept 3o, 2009. Given that he was placed in advanced Spanish he was sent out into the Mission Field early. His stay in the Provo MTC was three weeks and then sent out to his first assignment in Machu-Picchu. Not the ruins however, this is a small suburb outside Lima. He has a great first companion and is working hard each day. They are teaching many lesson each week and has had several baptisms. He is excited. Although the work is difficult, he states that it is worth it when the baptisms come through.
Elder Hill loves receiving correspondence from his friends. It keeps him motivated. Be sure to visit his web site. Look it up on Dearelder.com. I am still trying to get the hang of blogging. Maybe Elder Hill's sister can assist. Should anyone need info regarding Elder Hill feel free to call us. You can get our number from his brother John Hill.
Anyway I will try to upload some pictures later and get a better layout for blog.

  2. Well, I am the worlds worst for keeping this blog updated. His sister Liz is at least keeping pictures he sends us on his facebook page. Currently he is still in the same city a suburb of Lima. He is doing really well. His emails are upbeat and he is having alot of success in finding those seeking for the truth. We are looking forward to his call home on December 25. Unfortunately his Uncle Eddy in NC passed away earlier this month. Chris was very sad to get this news. His Mission President was very understanding and Elder Hill was allowed to make a five minute phone call to his mother. He was also allowed to send a special email to be read at his uncle's funeral. It was a very well written and beautiful ulogy. John, Elder Hill brother read the email. I am sure this was very difficult for Chris. He really was close to his Uncle Eddy.
He loves to hear from his friends, I hope you all will write him soon. The best way to send him mail is:
    Elder Christopher Adam Hill
    Mision Peru Lima Este
    Calle Los Agrologos 368
    Urbanizacion Las Acacias de Monterrico
    La Molina, Lima
    PERU

This is also the best way to send him a package. Best to use padded envelopes.
